Is Your IDE Hot or Not?

The white background is starting to hurt my eyes after long periods, but the black I find is also to abrasive.

Does anyone have a exported version of that color scheme, or in leiu, care to share their color schemes thwy find for a developer whic spends about 15 hours a day in Visual Studio?

Here is mine … I call it calm down

really hard to know that.

I think your ‘hot or not’ site for VS color/font schemes is a great idea. You know, if the server hosting the site had a lot of fonts installed (especially the ones popular with programmers), you could write a little function that uses GDI+ to return a jpeg of a ‘virtual’ screenshot, and eliminate the need for the user to create and upload one.

Has anyone tried to edit XML files with “Zenburn”? yuck

We are running as a company that’s why we really need is for some enterprising coder to create a “Hot or Not” site for IDE color schemes for Used Trailers and Sarasota Real Estate

Jeff, Thank you for the theme. I am using it for a few years now and I love it. Regards.

Nicely presented information in this post, I prefer to read this kind of stuff. The quality of content is fine and the conclusion is good. Thanks for the post.

Link in drop.io now discontinued too. Can somebody upload Jeff’s color scheme somewhere again, please?

This link should work for a while.

I am working with Microsoft Access 2013 and came to conclusion that Grey Background “MS-DOS style” (Colors #F0F0F0 or “Text 2, Lighter 60%” or “Text 2, Lighter 80%”) is much more eye-friendly (for example, for sales persons spending 8 hours daily) than a white or bright background.

About Font Color: it’s #17365D (dark-blue).

Would you agree with my choice or you know better for professional users’ (like sales persons or customer service representatives) eyes combination?
